GO RED FOR WOMEN DAY
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO GO RED!
Methodist has partnered with the American Heart Association once again to lead this educational campaign in Northwest Indiana.
Go Red for Women is a nationwide movement celebrating the energy, passion and power we have to band together and wipe out heart disease. By joining our Methodist family (men, too) on Wear Red Day, you can help support the vital research and education programs that are needed to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States, but women can fight back!
Methodist employees will be celebrating GO RED by:
1. WEARING RED IN THEIR OWN FASHION AND WEARING BLUE JEANS ON FRIDAY, FEB 6! Employees can purchase a Go Red for Women sticker for $5.00* in Human Resources at each campus.
2. BUYING A GO RED TRIBUTE CARD for $1.00*. Sold in cafeterias at both campuses beginning Wednesday, February 4th. Purchase a tribute card in honor of a loved one affected by heart disease.
3. EDUCATE YOURSELF. Educational information, bookmarks, and Go Red dress pins will be available in lobby areas at both NLC and SLC from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
4. EAT HEALTHY. A heart healthy meal will be served at both cafeterias. Nutritional content will be provided.
*All proceeds support research for women and heart disease.
