Merrillville, IN – IMA Endoscopy SurgiCenter, P.C. announced they have signed a letter of intent to partner up with Methodist Hospitals in a co-management relationship. Under this agreement, Methodist Hospitals would also acquire the IMA Endoscopy SurgiCenter. The co-management arrangement will enable Methodist Hospitals to increase the number of endoscopic procedures it conducts by more than 2,500 annually. The agreement involves the group of six board certified gastroenterologist physicians, eight nursing and technical staff and three administrative staff. The physicians include Daniel Hurwich, MD, Peter Mavrelis, MD, John Mirro, MD, Omar Nehme, MD, Bassel Shughoury, MD and Kumar Venkat, MD.
