Gary, IN - At its last board meeting on August 8th, Methodist Hospitals announced a new officer for its 2011-2012 Board of Directors, Fran Taylor.
Fran’s association with Methodist Hospital is extensive. She served in positions of increasing responsibility over a 35-year time period including Vice President of Human Resources and Nursing. Fran Taylor said, “during her tenure, I felt inspired and challenged by the local, regional and national events, which regularly impacted our ability to meet the needs of our patients, employees, physicians, and diverse service communities. Although difficult at times, I felt a sense of pride in being able to contribute to the mission, vision, and values for which Methodist has long been known.”
Since her retirement, Fran has remained active in community service. She has continued for 20 years her association with The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana which, where she served as board chair 2000-2001. She currently serves on numerous committees. She is active member of St. Timothy Community Church, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and a retired member of The Northern Indiana Links, Inc.
