Methodist Hospitals honored over 100 employees by recognizing their dedication and commitment to the mission of Methodist Hospitals. Employees were honored and recognized for their 5 year to 35 year milestone. Over 200 employees and their guest attended the banquet celebration, held at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville on Thursday, February 26.

“It had been a number of years since the hospital had held an employee recognition banquet. The new administration of Methodist Hospitals felt it was very important to honor and recognize these employees. We are very fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated individuals at Methodist Hospitals. They are an integral part to the success and future of this organization,” stated Ian McFadden, President/CEO, Methodist Hospitals. Methodist Hospitals’ executive team and members from the Board of Directors personally thanked each employee for their years of service.

Cheryl Avery, a labor and delivery nurse celebrated 30 years of service with Methodist Hospitals. “The celebration banquet held at Avalon was a wonderful event. Even though I had to work midnights following the banquet, my husband & I stayed until the end of the presentations. I found it very touching to hear my long-time manager, Karen Reno, speak about me, especially in front of such a large crowd.”

Dollie Labroi, Operating Room Technician, celebrated an astounding 35 years of service to Methodist Hospitals. Dollie reminisced about her time at Methodist thus far, “I started at Methodist Hospitals in 1973 as an OB tech, I moved over to surgery in 1978. My experience at Methodist has been very positive; my co-workers are very easy to work with, the physicians are great and the hospital administration is very supportive in maintaining a positive, productive work environment. I plan on staying with Methodist until I retire!”
