Methodist Hospitals announced it opened an outpatient behavioral health services program at its Northlake campus in Gary.
The new program will complement the existing inpatient behavioral health program that occupies a dedicated unit at the Northlake campus. The outpatient program will occupy space near but separate from the inpatient unit.
As an alternative to or transition from inpatient care, the outpatient program will provide individual, group and family therapy to adults suffering from conditions such as anxiety or depression, rage, grief and loss, adjustment problems and chronic mental illness.
"The launch of this program is one more example of our commitment to being the leader in specialty care in Northwest Indiana." said Ian E. McFadden, President and CEO of Methodist Hospitals in a statement.
