Spring Spa Day, an event made possible through the efforts of the Methodist Hospitals Oncology Department and a grant through the Pink Ribbon Society, provides breast cancer patients and survivors an opportunity to be educated and pampered. This year’s event will be held on April 24 at Methodist Hospitals Center for Advanced Clinical Studies (CACS) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This year’s event will feature skin care consultations, bone density screenings, chair massages and a seminar by Dr. Jeffery Flagg, DDS, MD highlighting the many services he provides. Dr. Flagg is a board certified plastic surgeon.
CACS will also host the Lilly Oncology on Canvas, an art exhibition honoring the journeys traveled by millions of people affected by cancer worldwide, starting Thursday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, April 24 (during the Spring Spa Day event). There will be approximately 30 pieces of art on display. The art exhibit is open to the general public.
Lilly Oncology on Canvas was created in 2004 by Eli Lilly and Company and is a biennial competition that invites people diagnosed with any type of cancer, their families and friends, cancer advocates, health care providers, as well as artists and art students to express, through art and in narrative, their own cancer journeys.
If you or a loved one is a Breast Cancer Survivor and would like to register for Spring Spa Day please call 1.888.909/DOCS(3627). Space is limited.
