Methodist Hospitals urgent care clinics and outpatient therapy clinics and Methodist Physician Group physician offices are open. We have introduced policies and services designed to help our physicians, nurses and staff deliver quality care in the safest possible fashion, and, at the same time, remove any apprehension those patients may have about seeking the care they need.
Methodist also offers two telehealth programs giving Northwest Indiana residents access to care from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Methodist Physician Group TeleHealth enables patients to arrange virtual appointments with their regular physicians, and immediate care virtual visits are now available via CareFirst TeleHealth.
Physician Visit Safety Measures
We want you to feel comfortable about your doctor visit, so we want you to know all the steps we are taking to ensure your safety in our physician offices:
- Methodist Physician Group is screening all patients for COVID-19 symptoms one day prior to their appointments. Those with COVID-19 symptoms are being directed to our emergency departments for evaluation.
- When you come to a Methodist Physician Group office all providers and staff will be wearing masks, and we ask you to wear a face covering that you bring from home.
- We have reduced our physician appointment volume to allow for social distancing. Upon arrival, you will be immediately escorted to an exam room – no waiting in the reception room with others.
- As always, we clean each exam room after every patient appointment with a medical grade disinfectant, so you can be assured that you’re entering a safe and clean environment.
