DESCRIPTION:Methodist Hospitals is partnering with Mental Health America of Lake County\, Nurse-Family Partnership\, Community Healthcare System and Franciscan Health to present the The Big Latch On of Lake County\, part of a nationwide synchronized breastfeeding and infant health and education event\, which celebrates and promotes breastfeeding. \nWomen from around the world will be offering support for breastfeeding and for their peers from 9:00 a.m. to noon\, on Saturday\, August 3 at Indian American Cultural Center\, 8605 Merrillville Road\, Merrillville. Registration will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. The “latch on” of breastfeeding will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. \nThere will be food\, refreshments and other family fun activities. \nFor more information and to register\, call (219) 937-7733\, or send email to: cwhitson@mhalakecounty.org. \nCome out and support breastfeeding as an infant feeding choice!
