Wills and Bequests
One of the many ways that friends can choose to express their deep commitment to Methodist Hospitals is to name the Methodist Hospitals Foundation in their wills or bequests. This is one way to make a lasting contribution without affecting one’s current financial security and freedom.
With a bequest you can commit general support or donate to a specific hospital area or program. Also, a specific dollar amount or percentage of your estate can be designated. We recommend that you consult the appropriate professional advisors regarding the impact this commitment may have on your estate planning.
If you choose to include the Methodist Hospitals Foundation in your estate plans to benefit Methodist Hospitals, please use our legal name and Federal Tax ID number;

“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Methodist Hospitals Foundation, Inc., an Indiana not-for-profit corporation, having its principal offices in the City of Gary, State of Indiana, (a specific amount or a percentage of the estate) to be used for the general support of Methodist Hospitals.” (or you may insert a specific area of Methodist Hospitals you wish to support).
