Exam Preparation

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. Be sure to bring a photo ID and all health insurance cards and order (script) information.  We cannot bill your insurance provider(s) without this information.

How soon can I schedule my appointment?
Same day or next day appointments are available.

When will my doctor receive the results of my procedure?
Your physician will receive your test results within 24-48 hours. Radiologists are available to discuss your exam with you.

Insurance

Some insurance plans now refuse coverage for imaging services performed at hospital-based imaging centers. Please be assured that Methodist Care First Imaging Center meets the coverage requirements of those plans.

Methodist Care First Imaging Center accepts Medicare & Indiana Medicaid coverage as well as most health insurance plans.

Some examinations may require prior authorization or pre-certification for coverage. Please call us or check with your plan directly to see if this is necessary.

The billing service will make every effort to bill your insurance carrier for these services.  However, if they require any further information or if there is a balance due after insurance, they will send a statement to you.

You can send any payment, insurance forms or correspondence to the address above.  For your convenience you can also make payments online at www.cdsindiana.com/billpay or at Methodist Care First Imaging Center where your radiology test(s) were done.

Exam length will vary depending on the procedure. Most procedure lengths are listed on the pages of our website describing what the procedure is and how it is performed.

Many exams require some type of preparation for the examination being performed. Call Methodist Care First Imaging Center at 219-738-5930 for further instructions.
