I’ve always had the caregiver spirit. Health care is my calling. When I was younger, it was always something I wanted to do. It began when I was took care of my sick mother when I was younger.
This is my community. I’m comfortable here. I always want to serve the people I grew up with. In addition to working in my community, I enjoy being an advocate for my patients.
Methodists offers great opportunities for new nurses. I got my ICU job straight out of graduation. That’s not very common to go into ICU straight out of school. The best parts about working here are taking care of critical patients and my coworkers. It’s like a family…we’re a family They’re loyal, resilient, hardworking, dedicated, dependable, caring and compassionate.
I cannot do this without a team behind me. i have coworkers who step in and help me or give me a pep talk when I need it. Others are more of a mentor. They took me under their wing and wanted to see me succeed as well.
