La Porte softball edges Clay
Olivia Zarantonello was 2-for-4 and Megan Reed singled in a run to back the four-hit pitching of MaCayla Boone as La Porte held off South Bend Clay 4-3 in softball Friday. Shelby Linn had two of the Slicers’ five stolen bases.
Blazers girls tennis match moved again
Marquette’s girls tennis match at Andrean originally scheduled for Tuesday and moved to Friday has now been moved to April 26 at 4:30 p.m.
Noveroske tabbed to play in All-Star Classic
Michigan City’s Hannah Noveroske will play in the North/South Indiana All-Star Basketball Classic today at John R. Wooden Gymnasium at Martinsville High School. This girls and boys doubleheader will be at noon for the girls and 2 p.m. for the boys. Tickets are $10.
Run with the Wolves on April 20
A “Run With The Wolves 5K Fun Run” will be held April 20 at Washington Park starting from the tennis pavilion. Registration on the day of the race begins at 8 a.m, and the race will start at 9. City to play in RailCats Challenge
The Michigan City baseball team will be among 37 schools from Illinois and Indiana who will play in the 17th Annual High School Challenge presented by Northwest Indiana Orthopedic and Spine Center at Methodist Hospitals at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary through April 27. The Wolves will face Metea Valley (Ill.) at 4:30 p.m. on April 19. Tickets can be purchased through the athletic department.
