Methodist Hospitals Names Two New Directors

Methodist Hospitals is pleased to announce the appointments of two new Directors to lead the operations of key departments.

Casey Kalvaitis

Casey Kalvaitis, MS, SHRM-SCP, has been named Director of Human Resources Operations and Compliance.  Casey joined Methodist from Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute, where he was Chief Operating Officer, and prior to that, Human Resources Director.  Casey has nearly 20 years’ experience in directing Human Resource activities at major national corporations, including Family express Corporation, Dollar General Corporation and Aldi, Inc.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Valapraiso University’s Urschel College of Business and a Master of Science in Management, Strategy and Leadership from Michigan State University. He is a member of the American Management Association and the Society of Human Resource Management, and is a Society of Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP.)

Mary Byrne

Mary Byrne has been named Director of Supply Chain.  Mary joined Methodist from Northwestern Medicine, where she was Director of Corporate Purchasing, responsible for the procurement functions of an integrated network of 11 hospitals, associated clinics, intermediate care centers and physician offices. Mary brings to Methodist more than 30 years of experience in supply chain and materials management at major health care providers, such as MetroSouth Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center and Swedish Covenant Hospital.  Mary earned a Bachelor’s degree at DePaul University Chicago and is a 2019 recipient of the Dorian Wright Award for Achievement in Supply Chain Management given by the Association for Healthcare Resource and Supply Chain Management.
