[Gary Indiana, March 29, 2023] The Methodist Hospitals Foundation today announced that it has received a $100,000 gift from United States Steel Corporation-Gary Works in recognition of the hospital’s100 years of service to the Northwest Indiana community. The gift will support the Methodist Hospitals Vision Fund, which was established to ensure equitable health care for all those in need, now and into the future.
“Methodist Hospitals Foundation is continually humbled by the generosity of corporate partners who are seriously concerned for the welfare of the community,” said Heather McCarthy, President of the Methodist Hospitals Foundation Board. “This latest gift by U. S. Steel-Gary Works is the largest single corporate donation ever received by the Foundation, and it sets the stage for accelerating our efforts to engage philanthropic support.”
