At Methodist Hospitals, we understand how important quality health care is to you and your family. We have been serving Northwest Indiana for generations and hope you will let us be your healthcare provider of choice for many years to come. We are committed to providing our patients and visitors with the highest quality of services both within the hospital setting and online. Our online Patient and Visitor Information Center contains helpful information for visitors to Methodist Hospitals.
Visitation Policy
To ensure our patient’s safety and confidentiality, all visitors must stop at the Information Desk upon entrance to the hospital lobby. A representative will provide you with a visitor’s pass and direct you to the appropriate area of the hospital campus. If you or someone with you needs a wheelchair or other special assistance, please advise the Information Desk representative when you arrive.
General visitation is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There is not an age restriction for visitors (except in the specialty units). Children are the ultimate responsibility of their parent or guardian and should not be left unattended or with a patient (even if the patient is a parent or guardian) in the patient’s room or in other public areas of the hospital.
For the safety and protection of all, visitors are asked to stop at the Patient Information Services desk to acquire a visitor’s pass between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. visitors are asked to acquire a visitor’s pass at the Security desk near the entrance of the Emergency Department.
