Visitation Policy – Effective Monday, January 30, 2023
All visitors must be screened for symptoms of illness and properly wear a mask before entering.
To ensure our patient’s safety and confidentiality, all visitors must stop at the Information Desk upon entrance to the hospital lobby. A representative will provide you with a visitor’s pass and direct you to the appropriate area of the hospital campus. If you or someone with you needs a wheelchair or other special assistance, please advise the Information Desk representative when you arrive.
General Visitation is between the hours of 8 AM – 8 PM. Only two visitors are allowed in the room at one time for proper social distancing and patient safety.
One person (the patient’s designated support partner) is allowed to stay with the patient for emotional support during the patient’s hospital stay. This person may be a family member, friend, or healthcare representative of the patient’s choosing, but must be at least 18 years of age or older and must be able to safely stay alone and take care of his/her own care needs. If after 8 PM, the patient’s support partner enters the hospital through the emergency department entrance and will be required to stop at the security desk to be screened &
cleared of illness before receiving a pass.
COVID and PUI patients are allowed one visitor per day.
• All visitors for COVID positive rooms must report to the nurse’s station for the instruction of required PPE before entering patients’ rooms.
All visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
Visitors may access all public areas of the hospital including the cafeteria and waiting areas.
COVID-19 is a contagious disease, and there is risk of exposure in any public space. Seniors and those with underlying medical conditions are at greater risk, as are those who are un-vaccinated. Methodist Hospitals strongly encourages all its guests to get vaccinated at one of our convenient vaccine clinics.
