RailCats’ High School Challenge returns for 17th season

The Gary SouthShore RailCats announce the return of the High School Challenge, presented by Northwest Indiana Orthopedic and Spine Center at Methodist Hospitals as a centerpiece of the spring baseball season in NW Indiana.

The 17th annual High School Challenge will feature 20 games and 37 teams from Illinois and Indiana during April1-27. Teams will come from as far east as Michigan City, as far west as Aurora, and as far south as Rensselaer for this unique opportunity.

The schedule for the 2019 High School Challenge is as follows:

Wednesday, April 10
4:30 p.m. – Wheeler High School vs Hebron High School
7:30 p.m. – Rensselaer Central High School vs West Side Leadership Academy

Friday, April 12

4:30 p.m. – Victory Christian Academy vs Hammond Academy of Science & Technology
7:30 p.m. – Hanover Central High School vs Lowell High School

Saturday, April 13
Noon – Bishop Noll Institute vs Tinley Park High School
3:00 p.m. – Calumet Christian High School vs Families of Faith Christian Academy
6:00 – Whiting High School vs Merrillville High School

Monday, April 15
4:30 p.m. – Morgan Township Middle/High School vs Kouts Middle/High School
7:30 p.m. – Covenant Christian High School vs 21st Century Charter School at Gary

Friday, April 19
4:30 p.m. – Michigan City High School vs Metea Valley High School
7:30 p.m. – River Forest High School vs Lake Station Edison High School

Monday, April 22
4:30 p.m. – South Central Junior-Senior High School vs Washington Township Middle/High School
7:30 p.m. – Highland High School vs Hobart High School

Wednesday, April 24
4:30 p.m. – Lincoln-Way East High School vs Illiana Christian High School

Saturday, April 27
Noon – West Side Leadership Academy vs Theodore Roosevelt College & Career Academy
3:00 p.m. – Thea Bowman Leadership Academy vs Victory Christian Academy

Tickets for each game are only $5 and are available at each individual school.
