Matthew Doyle
President, Chief Executive Officer
Matt Doyle was named President and CEO of Methodist Hospitals in July 2020, bringing with him 25 years of experience in health care finance and administration. Matt joined Methodist Hospitals in 2007 as Corporate Controller and was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2011. Matt returned to the Methodist Hospitals family in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer following a year and half at Mt. Sinai Healthcare system in Chicago.
The son of a nurse, Matt was drawn early in life to the health care profession and to the calling of service to others, and describes his leadership style as one of servant leadership and he takes great pride in serving the communities of Northwest Indiana. Matt graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and is a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association.
Marla Hoyer-Lareau, RN, BSN, MHA
Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing and Operations Officer
Marla Hoyer-Lareau was named Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing and Operations Officer in August, 2020. She joined Methodist Hospitals as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in December, 2019. Marla joined Methodist from long-term acute care hospital Vibra, where she was Chief Executive Officer. She has also held senior leadership positions at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and the Franciscan Alliance Hammond, Munster and Dyer campuses. Marla has deep expertise executive leadership, including building a culture of excellence in patient experience, leading process improvement, managing change and producing and maintaining quality outcomes. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Valparaiso University and holds a Master of Healthcare Administration with Academic Honors from the University of St. Francis.
Vincent L. Sevier, MD, MBA, CPE
senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Sevier was named Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in July 2020. He joined Methodist Hospitals in May of 2016 as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer. Prior to joining Methodist, he served in senior leadership positions at OSF St Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois, and Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Dr. Sevier is an experienced practicing Emergency Medicine physician.
Dr. Sevier holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, an MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He is Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a Certified Physician Executive with the American Association of Physician Leadership and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Lauren Trumbo, CPA, MAcc
Chief Financial Officer
Lauren Trumbo brings to Methodist Hospitals a deep expertise in hospital finance, having served as Chief Financial Officer for Community Healthcare System’s St. Catherine Hospital since 2016. Lauren knows health care operations from the clinical side as well: she worked her way through college as a Certified Nurse Assistant at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and Miller’s Merry Manor in Portage. Lauren has long been active in community service and currently serves as Board President for both Mental Health America of Northwest Indiana and Northshore Health Centers. Lauren’s community service also includes an advisory capacity with the Merrillville-based Nurse-Family Partnership, and she was responsible for the creation of a Financial Literacy program series for residents of East Chicago, Indiana. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters Degree of Accountancy from Purdue University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana.
Wright Alcorn, MHA, FACHE
Vice President, Operations
Wright Alcorn joined Methodist Hospitals as Interim Vice-President of Operation in February 2012 and in August 2012 accepted the position of Vice President of Operations. He has over 25 years of experience in hospital and health system administration and operations including clinical and support service operations, service line development and management, new program and business development and regulatory and compliance oversight. Wright has worked at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and Methodist Hospitals in Houston, Texas. Wright holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Kimberly Innes, MBA
Vice President, Strategy & Business Development
Kim joined Methodist Hospitals in 2013 as Orthopedic Service Line Director, became an Assistant Vice President in 2019 and was named Vice President of Strategy & Business Development in January, 2023.
Kim has more than 20 years of successful strategic planning, business development and team building experience in the healthcare industry, such as the development of the Northwest Indiana Orthopedic-Spine Institute at Methodist, including its total joint replacement and sports medicine programs. She also spearheaded the opening of the Methodist Hospitals CareFirst clinics in Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville and Valparaiso. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eureka University in Illinois.
Rick Rhew, MBA
Vice President, Human Resources
Rick was named Vice President of Human Resources in January, 2023. Most recently, Rick served as our Interim leader in Human Resources and prior to that as Corporate Controller for the past seven years. Rick has been a part of Methodist Hospitals for nearly eighteen years and has an excellent understanding of our organization. Rick holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science – Health Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Bachelor of Science – Business Administration from Indiana University, an Associates in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. Rick is a Fellow with Healthcare Financial Management Association, Certified in Healthcare Compliance, and has over thirty years of experience in healthcare.
