Helping to Save the Lives of Our Patients with Heart Disease
Heart disease is the No.1 cause of death in the U.S.
In the last 12 months, the lives of more than 200 of Methodist Hospitals patients were changed because the electrical impulses that allow their hearts to beat were irregular and placed them at risk. Pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and other medical interventions were utilized to treat patients.
More than half of these patients were underinsured or uninsured.
Proceeds from this year’s Mardi Gras Masquerade Benefit, sponsored by the Methodist Hospitals Foundation, will support the Heart Rhythm Center (electrophysiology lab) and help secure equipment purchases and much more.
The Methodist Hospitals Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. As the philanthropic arm of Methodist Hospitals, its purpose is to raise charitable gifts to support the hospital’s mission of providing quality and compassionate health services to all those in need. Financial contributions to the Methodist Hospitals Foundation power every aspect of service that the hospital offers.
The Mardi Gras themed evening will include New Orleans Food Court with Café DuMonde Sweets Stations, silent auction, open bar, music, dancing and more.
