Education: Earned Nurse Assistant certification at Work One in Munster
Experience: A Certified Nurse Assistant since 2002

As a Methodist Hospitals CNA, I’ve made a difference. I’ve been able to help people who were sick to get on up and keep moving…and just helping them in general. I’ve enjoyed meeting the family members and and to see them know that I’m making a difference for that person.
Over the years, I couldn’t help but learn along the way. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about different illnesses and medications.
We’re like a family at Methodist. You’ll be greeted as soon as you walk through the door. People call you by your name. I appreciate the people around me. And when we’re off work, we’re still communicating and doing things together as a team. Most people are really friendly, and they go out of their way for the patient. That’s our number one priority to make sure that patient is happy and taken care of. That’s why I love to see how my nurses and my doctors appreciate me. And being appreciated means everything to me…especially from my peers.
I’m always encouraging other CNAs to apply at Methodist when I see them around town. I tell them that they’ll learn a lot. They can move ahead. They can grow.
Once you come here, you won’t want to go.
