You’ve studied and you’ve sacrificed. Now it’s time to apply everything you’ve learned toward caring for patients – which is what inspired you to become a nurse in the first place. At Methodist Hospitals, we have created an environment and culture in which new grad RNs can take those first key steps in their new nursing career.
Methodist Hospitals has even more for new graduates of accredited nursing programs. The centerpiece is our Dedicated Orientation Unit.
In our Dedicated Orientation Unit, new grads work closely with our professional health care team to deliver compassionate care to those in need. In this 10- to 12-week program, depending on the specialty area, they develop self-confidence as well as critical thinking and time management skills as they sharpen the clinical skills needed to launch their nursing careers. They benefit from individualized orientation plans tailored to their specific learning needs and from support provided by experienced preceptors. Program participants are also enrolled in Methodist’s six-month Nurse Residency Program.
Qualified applicants must be new graduates of an accredited nursing program, licensed as a registered nursing in Indiana and successfully complete the interview process with Methodist Hospitals Nurse Leadership.
